This meter was designed specifically for the measurement of occupational noise. With no complicated setup procedure, you switch the meter on with the confidence that it will measure the parameters required.
For measuring factory noise in compliance with the European Noise at Work regulations this is the perfect sound level meter.
The integrating sound level meter has the following simple controls:
- On/Off - when switched on the meter starts measuring straight away
- Restart - start a new measurement
- Cal - automatically calibrate (requires an acoustic calibrator)
The European Noise at Work Regulations require the use of a Sound Level Calibrator before making measurements. Please see our What Is... section in the menu on the left for more information on the calibrator.
If you need a calibrator then the most cost effective option is the P82-C, which includes a Type 2 Integrating Sound Level Meter and a Sound Level Calibrator. This is the minimum package that we offer that meets the demands of the Noise at Work regulations in Europe and the UK.
